Ingredients for preparation:
  • 3-4 medium potatoes, cut into cubes

  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions for cooking:
  • Heat some oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle.
  • Add chopped onions and cook until they become soft and transparent.
  • Put in minced garlic and cook for a few minutes until it turns golden and smells nice.
  • Toss in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they get mushy and the oil starts separating.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix it all well.
